This nonfiction piece is written in an autobiographical, memoir style resembling an op-ed or perspective piece of sorts. There is an underlying message beneath the narration and evocative imagery embedded within the prose. This piece demonstrates my ability to dabble artfully with story-telling, a genre of writing outside the realm of a straightforward, technically communicative style.
